A Death In Hospital

The following steps will help you in making the right decisions towards what you need to do if you are expecting a death or a death has occurred at a hospital or other institution.

  • Contact the bereavement office to collect the Medical Certificate Of Cause Of Death to register the death, then contact the funeral director to begin making arrangements for the conveyance from the hospital to the Chapel Of Rest.
  • The bereavement office will advise you when to collect the Medical Certificate for registration. You may need to contact them yourself to confirm when ready.
  • Contact the Registrar's office to arrange an appointment to register the death.
  • Call into our office to make arrangements for the funeral.

A Death At Home

The following steps will help you in making the right decisions towards what you need to do if you are expecting a death or a death has occurred at home.

  • Call the doctor of the deceased or out of hours service for them to come and certify the death.
  • Contact us once the death has been certified by the doctor or paramedics, for us to arrange the conveyance to our Chapel of Rest.
  • Collect the Medical Certificate from the doctors surgery.
  • Contact the Registrar's office to arrange an appointment to register the death.
  • Call into our office to make arrangements for the funeral.
