Registration Of The Death

The doctor/hospice/hospital will email the Medical Certificate of Confirmation of Death (MCCD) to the Registrar. You are not required to collect this from the doctor/hospice/hospital.

For Birmingham Registrar, please complete the online Pre-Registration Form to register the death.

Please see our list for other Local Registrar Office details for registering the death.

Once you have an appointment with the Birmingham Registrar to register the death, please call us on 0121 427 2233 to book a date and time for the funeral and make an appointment for you to come to our office to arrange the funeral.

For all other registrars', please call us once you have obtained the Green Certificate after the registration of the death to make an appointment to arrange the funeral.

Visiting our Chapels Of Rest is by appointment only.

Limousines

We can seat six mourners in a limousine.

People who are showing signs of COVID-19, such as a persistent cough, a high temperature or has lost their sense of taste or smell, MUST NOT attend our premises.
